Chess Grandmaster who, as of 2013, was the highest rated player in Chinese history after he became the first Chinese player to cross the 2700 ratings plateau.
He first became a member of the Chinese Olympiad team in 2004.
In 2005, he became the youngest National men's Champion of China and from March to December 2008 he went 85 consecutive games without a loss, one of the longest streaks in chess history.
As a child prodigy he was encouraged to play by his family.
He is one of the top Chinese chess players alongside Bu Xiangzhi.
