American artist and comic book writer who produced the story Star Slammers in graphic novel form for Marvel Comics in 1983 and was one of the founders of Malibu Comics' Bravura label.
He published his first professional comic book, Weird War Tales #10, for DC Comics in 1973.
He has won various awards for his work including a Shazam Award for Outstanding New Talent in 1973.
He co-wrote a Wildstorm comic book series based on the online role-playing game World of Warcraft with his wife, Louise.
He had a cameo role in the 2011 film Thor starring Natalie Portman.
