He attended the prestigious Brooklyn Technical High School and then New York University.
He was ranked #66 on the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time list by Rolling Stone.
His parents are of Caribbean background, but he grew up in New York City.
Mick Jagger was so impressed with In Living Color's performance at CBGB that he invited the group to lay down a track for his album.
