Famous as the director of the world renowned Moscow Museum of Modern Art. He has also garnered popularity as the vice president of the Russian Academy of Arts.
He graduated from the School of Visual Arts in New York City in 2000 with his bachelor's degree. He previously studied at the United Nations International School.
He was honored as a Knight of the French Order of Arts and Letters in 2015. He was previously awarded the Cyril and Methodius medal for Slavic culture development.
His grandfather Zurab was a their painter. His wife's name is Kira.
He and Olga Sviblova are both prominent art directors in Russia.
