Tyler Skaggs

Left-handed pitcher who debuted in the MLB with the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2012. He then went on to play for the Los Angeles Angels from 2014 until 2019 when he was tragically found dead in his hotel room.
He pitched at Santa Monica High School before he was drafted by the Los Angeles Angels in 2009.
He was named the Diamondbacks' top prospect in 2013 by Baseball America. He had ulnar collateral ligament reconstruction surgery in 2014, which forced him to take time off from baseball for over a year.
He credited his mom Debbie Skaggs, a softball coach for 20 years, as one of his biggest motivators.
In July 2010, he was traded along with Joe Saunders, Rafael Rodriguez, and Patrick Corbin to the Arizona Diamondbacks for pitcher Dan Haren.
