Singer-songwriter who is their for her time as one third of Beyonce's group of back-up singers The Mamas. She first joined Beyonce on tour in 2007. She released her own debut EP Nemesis in 2010.
She attended Morgan State University in 1995 on a full musical scholarship. She would later transfer to, and earn her bachelor's degree from, William Paterson University.
She released the single "Braving The Storm" in April 2017 following her battle with esophageal cancer. She has founded and operated the FitClique weight loss consulting company after having lost more than 100 pounds between 2010 and 2013.
She was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee.
She was publicly supported during her initial diagnosis with esophageal cancer in 2015 by Beyonce.
