Thomas Cranmer
Religious Leader
Leader of the English Reformation, Archbishop of Canterbury, and a supporter of Royal Supremacy, which meant that the king had control over the church.
He studied at Jesus College for eleven years.
After the Reformation, he was in charge of creating the first liturgical and doctrinal structures for the new church.
His wife, Joan, died during childbirth.
He helped create the case for King Henry VIII of England to divorce his wife Catherine of Aragon.
