Theodosii Spassov
Flute Player
Jazz musician known for his skill with the kaval, an end-blown flute. He has been the recipient of awards, including winning the 1994 Special Prize of Detroit Flute Festival.
He attended the Kotel Music School and the Academy of Music and Dance. He went on to develop a distinct, unique style of kaval playing.
He was the recipient of the 1996 International Academy of Arts in Paris Award.
He grew up near Plovdiv, which is one of the largest cities in Bulgaria.
Both Spassov and Milcho Leviev are Bulgarian jazz musicians.
