Franchise that won its first MLS Cup in 1998 then went on to finish as runner-up for the cup in 2000 and 2003. The team is named after the Great Chicago Fire of 1871. 

Trivia

The club landed lauded German international star Bastian Schweinsteiger in 2017. U.S. national team star Brian McBride also spent two years with the club.
