He endured a somewhat tainted childhood growing up in poverty and raised primarily by his mother. He didn't believe a career in music was achievable until November of 2013, when he began posting videos of himself singing.
He had over 475,000 followers on Vine when the app was shut down.
He grew up in a small town located in Lee County Virginia; but has also worked out of Nashville, Tennessee. His parents split when he was 2.
