Rugby scrum-half who is their for his international club career, including for France's Top 14 club La Rochelle beginning in 2018. He has also played for the Gallagher Chiefs of the New Zealand Super League rugby league.
He made his professional rugby debut in 2009 in the Waikato rugby league.
He was a regular contributor to New Zealand's 2015 Rugby World Cup-winning squad. He has also made appearances representing the famed Maori All Blacks.
He was originally born and raised in Melbourne, Australia.
He and Kieran Read have played as teammates for New Zealand's national rugby squad.
