Welsh wheelchair racer who is a 12-time Paralympic gold medalist, winning medals in four different Olympics.
She made her wheelchair racing debut at the 1984 Junior National Games.
She was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire in 1993 for her services to sport.
She has a daughter named Carys with partner Dr. Ian Thompson.
She has served as the Chair of the Tony Blair Sports Foundation.
