Wife of the acclaimed blues musician Stevie Wonder who was a Grammy Award-nominated R&B singer in her own right.
She sang backup vocals for The Supremes on the Motown label when she met Stevie Wonder.
She worked with Stevie Wonder on the hits "Where I'm Coming From" and "If You Really Love Me," the latter peaking at #8 on the charts.
Her father died in the Korean War; she and her siblings were raised by her mother and grandmother.
On her debut solo album she covered songs by Smokey Robinson and The Beatles.
