Singer and songwriter known for his musical style based around the piano.
He performed in school plays and musicals. His friend's mother's death led him to perform Candle in the Wind at her funeral, a pivotal moment in his evolving career.
His songs were featured on So You Think You Can Dance, Bones, Army Wives, and numerous other TV shows.
He was born of Irish-German descent to Patricia and Randy James who divorced while he was young.
His demo, Let the River Run, was discovered by Carly Simon who recorded it with him. It was later played at the 2003 Nobel Peace Prize ceremony.
