Susan Musgrave
Poet
A Canadian poet and children's author, she is best known for a Governor General's Award-nominated poetry collection entitled A Man to Marry, A Man to Bury. Her works of children's literature include Hag Head and Dreams are More Real than Bathtubs.
She was born in central California to Canadian parents, and she later settled in British Columbia, Canada.
She taught in the University of British Columbia's Master of Fine Arts program in creative writing.
Her husband, author and ex-con Stephen Reid, was once part of the intheir Stopwatch Gang and was convicted of bank robbery.
She and fellow Canadian poet, Anne Carson, were literary contemporaries.
