Nicknamed Spiderman due to his long arms and speed, he became a WBO Intercontinental Light Heavyweight Champion. He competed in the 1996 Olympics and compiled a career record of 32-2.
He won 90 out of 100 fights and was a 6-time Croatian champion as an amateur.
He participated in the reality show Farma on Croatian Nova TV but was kicked off the show for starting a fist fight with a 57-year-old photographer.
He was born and raised in Makarska, Croatia.
He succeeded Poland's Tomasz Adamek as the WBO Intercontinental Light Heavyweight Champion.
