Novelist who is known for her work in the teen/young adult fiction genre. In 2014, she released her third book, Isla and the Happily Ever After, which ended the year on the New York Times Bestsellers and Amazons Top Teen & Young Adult Books lists.
She has attended school in both San Francisco and Atlanta. She began writing during her teenage years, and studied it throughout her schooling. She began working as a book seller and librarian before becoming a full-time novelist.
In 2010, she released her first novel Anna and the French Kiss, which was placed on NPR's Best Teen Reads yearly list. In 2014, she contributed to the anthology book My True Love Gave to Me: Twelve Holiday Stories, which she also helped in compiling.
She was born in South Carolina, and raised in Arizona.
She collaborated with Holly Black, amongst others, on the book My True Love Gave to Me: Twelve Holiday Stories.
