Painter
Painter who was one of the greatest Croatian watercolorists. Her mentor was the famed Bela Čikoš Sesija.
She used a local morgue as her art studio while she completed her studies in Zagreb.
Her works traveled across Europe during the 1890s being featured at several exhibitions, including the 1900 Expo in Paris.
Her artistic career was encouraged by her mother, who also loved to paint. She was deaf from birth and suffered from depression in her later years.
She and Vincent Van Gogh were both renowned painters of the time.
