He studied sport science at Rowan University and worked for the pharmaceutical company Wyeth.
He trained for a time at the popular fitness chain Equinox. He is an avid tennis fan, having attended all four Grand Slam tournaments.
He married his partner Scott Blokker in 2012.
He began his career in fitness and dance by performing as a back-up dancer for Mariah Carey.
