She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia in 2008.
She was named a celebrity ambassador to the American Civil Liberties Union in 2015; she has done work with the Women's Right Project.
She was born to Ivory Steward and Henry Moore in Indianapolis, Indiana. Her father was a lieutenant colonel in the Air Force.
Her debut on Saturday Night Live included an impersonation of singer Rihanna.
