Critically-acclaimed Canadian singer-songwriter who was nominated for the prestigious Polaris Prize for her 2005 album I'm a Mountain.
She joined the Toronto-based band The Saddletramps at age seventeen.
She co-founded the PERL organization, designed to help protect the Niagara Escarpment from a gravel development.
Her older sister Mary would take her to Tragically Hip concerts.
She has contributed guest vocals to tracks by a variety of artists, including singer Neko Case.
