Daniel Johnston

Singer-songwriter featured in the documentary The Devil and Daniel Johnston. He was known for his emotional and intense lyrics in songs such as "True Love Will Find You in the End" and "Walking the Cow."
He grew up in New Cumberland, West Virginia with four older siblings.
He was a visual artist, known for his image of a frog with the words "Hi, How Are You?" on the cover of one of his more popular albums. He suffered from schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
He briefly attended Kent State University before pursuing a music career.
Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain was often seen sporting a t-shirt with the frog image of "Hi, How Are You?" that Johnston drew on it.
