Ronnie Drew
Folk Singer
Irish singer of the folk band The Dubliners for over 50 years. He is best known for the hit songs Seven Drunken Nights and The Irish Rover, both of which were UK Top 10 hits.
He moved to Spain in the 1950s and taught English before starting his career in folk music at age 19.
He was honored with his handprints in the walk of fame at Dublin's Gaiety Theatre in 2006.
He was married to his wife Deirdre for over 40 years.
He appeared with Phil Coulter on Ireland's The Late Late Show in December 2006.
