Ron Silliman
Poet
American poet associated with the Language poets and known for The Alphabet, Universe, and other works. He received a National Endowment for the Arts literary fellowship in 2003.
He studied at the University of California, Berkeley, as well as at San Francisco State University and Merritt College.
He served as editor of the United States Socialist Review. He also worked for the San Francisco Fire Department's Arson Task Force.
He settled in Chester County, Pennsylvania in 1995 with his wife Krishna and his two sons.
He and Carla Harryman, both Language poets, were involved in an online collective autobiography project that began in 1998.
