Russian and German professional football player who is known for playing with Fenerbahce S. K. He is known for playing as a defensive midfielder and center back and has played for both the German and Russian national teams.
He first began his youth career in 1994 playing with the Mainz 05 club. He then began his senior career in 2006 as a part of Mainz 05. He played in Germany's national team in 2008 but moved to Russia's in 2016.
He made his debut switch from Germany's national team to Russia's in a game against the Czech Republic in June of 2016.
He was born and raised in Dnipropetrovsky, Ukraine. He is the son of fellow professional football player Peter Neustadter.
As a player for Russia's national team, he plays alongside Igor Akinfeev, Aleksandr Kokorin, and Yuri Zhirkov.
