He was a top 100 recruit coming out of San Joaquin Memorial High School and was originally committed to join Kansas State before the team's coach Frank Martin took another job.
He was leading the NCAA in blocked shots per game during the 2014-15 season before he was dismissed from the Washington basketball program for violating team rules.
He was born to Ceylon Sherman and Benny Bowie and he has two brothers, Jereol Walker and Marcus Becote, and one sister, Tymeika Becote.
He was coached by Lorenzo Romar at Washington.
