Actor and jazz singer who gained worldwide recognition for playing the villain in the adventure film The Goonies. He also portrayed Special Agent Johnson in Die Hard and Al Torres in Showgirls.
He and fellow actor Christopher Walken both attended Hofstra University.
He directed the comedy drama The Dukes.
He had several children with Christine Bolster. The couple married in 1990 and later separated.
He appeared with Timothy Dalton in the James Bond film Licence to Kill.
