Richard Tognetti
Violinist
Violinist who served as the Artistic Director and Leader of the Australian Chamber Orchestra, as well as having worked as a composer and violinist.
He began studying with their violist William Primrose, but then moved on to the Sydney Conservatorium High School and then the Bern Conservatory for his post-graduate studies.
In 1999, he was awarded the title of National Living Treasure in Australia.
He was born in Canberra and was raised in Wollongong.
He has arranged many works by Maurice Ravel for the Australian Chamber Orchestra.
