Indian field hockey player who won three Olympic gold medals, one in 1928, 1932, and 1936.
He played field hockey at the collegiate level at St Joseph's College Nainital.
He played five games as goaltender in the 1928 Summer Olympics and allowed zero goals.
He grew up as an only child in a high class Indian family.
He won gold in 1928 when runner Paavo Nurmi won his 9th and final gold medal.
