He realized being a cyclist was impractical if he lived where snow covered the ground for half of the year, so after high school he moved from Calgary, Alberta to Whistler, BC.
He was once so distracted by the taste of a burrito he purchased at Jump Ship 2012, that he accidentally walked his way onto the landing of a bike race.
He grew up in Calgary, Alberta. His dad always told him to find a job in life that he would do even if he didn't get paid.
