Red Holloway
Saxophonist
Tenor jazz saxophonist who recorded prolifically with an array of celebrated musicians, including Chuck Berry.
He started playing tenor saxophone when he was twelve years old and went on to attend the Chicago Conservatory of Music.
He was very active in the Chicago jazz scene in the 1950s with artists like Lester Young and Muddy Waters.
He was married more than once and raised a few children.
Holloway worked with Etta James extensively over the course of his life.
