Founding member of The Skatalities who has also worked as a director for The Supersonics.
He attended the Alpha Boys School and went on to join Eric Dean's Orchestra.
He recorded with many well-known reggae artists and producers in the 1960s and 1970s, including Bunny Lee.
He was born in Havana, Cuba and his family moved to Jamaica.
He was inspired to play jazz after hearing John Coltrane.
