Bollywood film actor best known for his appearances in films like Chitkabrey and Saadey CM Saab. He has also starred in a number of Indian television series including Samvidhaan and the Indian version of the hit show 24.
While studying at St. Xavier's College, he wrote more than 50 street plays and was also a member of a local acting group.
A writer as well as an actor, he penned the script for the 2006 film Kachchi Sadak and contributed dialogue to the films Rani and Kaante.
His wife's name is Vartika Singh. His mother, Prabha Thakur, is a well known Hindi poet.
In the 2016 war film Ghazi, he stars opposite Rana Daggubati.
