Anthropomorphic animated woodpecker who appeared in theatrical short films during the Golden age of American animation. The creators of the character also helped lay groundwork for Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck.

The character would be featured in various television series such as The Woody Woodpecker Show, and had a 2017 animated feature film also simply called Woody Woodpecker.
