Known for her distinctive blue beehive hairstyle, she is the matriarch of The Simpsons and the moralistic force in her family. She and her husband Homer Simpson have children named Bart, Lisa and Maggie. The family was first introduced in "Good Night," the first of forty-eight Simpsons shorts to air on The Tracey Ullman Show.

Trivia

In the show, Marge has identical twin sisters named Patty and Selma who serve a prominent recurring role. Julie Kavner voiced the character of Marge and earned a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Voice-Over Performance in 1992.
