Portuguese actor and model who is best known for his work in film, television, and theatrical productions. He is best known for having won a 1996 Golden Globe for Personality of the Year for his work in theater and for starring as Martim Botelho in the series Deixa-me Amar.
His acting career first began in 1993 when he starred as Corto Maltese in the film Zefiro. He then went on to make his television debut in 1996 when he starred as Vasco in the series Salsa e Merengue.
In October of 2008, he was the star of a documentary about his life which aired on the Biography Channel covering his 20 years of life and work in entertainment.
He married psychologist and former model Astrid Werdnig in 2000. Together they had a daughter named Chloe in 2004.
He starred alongside Joana Ribeiro and Miguel Nunez in the 2017 television series Madre Paula.
