He taught sculpture for three years at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design before returning to Iran.
His work has been auctioned around the world leading to sales of over $6.7 million.
His parents raised him in Tehran.
He taught at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design where Nick Schenk studied.
