Norwegian cross-country skier and two-time Olympic gold medalist, winning at the 1968 Grenoble games and the 1972 Sapporo games.
He competed in his first Olympics in 1968 where he would win his first gold medal.
He won the Holmenkollen medal as the top Norwegian swimmer in 1970.
He is the son of Sven and Agnes Tyldum.
He won gold at the 1968 Olympics where downhill skier Jean-Claude Killy also took home gold.
