Paddy Driscoll
Football Player
Hall of Fame quarterback for the Chicago Cardinals. During his career, he threw for 18 touchdowns, ran in 25 touchdowns and caught another 4 touchdowns.
Although standing at only 5'11" and weighing not more than 160 pounds, he proved himself a superb tactician, and an able runner and pass catcher.
His newly-formed Cardinals team in the American Football League was challenged by the Chicago Tigers; the question of which team would stay was decided by a game in which his team won behind his leadership.
He was born in Evanston, Illinois.
He and Red Grange were both voted into the NFL's 1920s All-Decade Team.
