Internationally admired Hindu-Indian magician from the 1950s and 1960s who was known for his Indrajal show.
He attended Shibnath High School and took his first magic lessons from Ganapati Chakraborty.
His legacy was commemorated by the Indian Post in 2010 with a stamp.
He and his wife, Basanti Devi, had three children, two of whom became magicians, while the other became an animator, director, and laserist.
He was a fan of Harry Houdini.
