Ninette Devalois
Dancer
Dancer and choreographer, most recognized for dancing in Ballets Russes, and later establishing the prestigious Royal Ballet.
She started her professional training at 13, when she enrolled in the Lila Field Academy for Children; it was around this age when she also decided to change her name legally from Edris Stannus to Ninette de Valois.
In 1992, she was presented with the Laurence Olivier Award.
She was married to Arthur Connell until her death.
Alessandra Ferri has danced with the Royal Ballet, which she established in 1931.
