She won a scholarship to The Royal Ballet School in 1980.
She won the award for Outstanding Individual Performance of the Year in a New Dance Production in 'Valley of Shadows.'
Her father is the photographer Fabrizio Ferri, who hails from Italy.
Mikhail Baryshnikov asked her to become a dancer at the American Ballet Theater.
