Nikolai Lugansky

Classical musician and educator with an uncanny ear. He collaborated with some of the biggest names of his day.
He was a student at both the Moscow Central Music School and the Moscow Conservatory where he was taught by, among others, the famed Tatiana Nikolayeva and Sergei Dorensky.
He was a high-profile competitor at several events during the 1980s and part of the 1990s, winning many of them.
His family recognized his talent early on, when, at age five, he heard and performed a Beethoven sonata without ever having had a piano lesson.
He performed with violinist Joshua Bell.
