Niklas Hjalmarsson

Defenseman who joined the Chicago Blackhawks in 2007 and helped the team win Stanley Cup Championships in 2010, 2013 and 2015. As a member of the Swedish national team, he earned a silver medal at the 2014 Winter Olympics.
He played three seasons for HV71 in the Swedish Hockey League.
During the 2012-13 half-season NHL lockout, he played for Bolzano HC in Serie A.
He was born in Eksjo, Sweden. He married Elina Hjalmarsson in 2013.
He and fellow defenseman Dustin Byfuglien were teammates on the Blackhawks from 2007 to 2010.
