Vocalist known for her work in the jazz, pop, and R&B genres. During the late 1980s, 1990s, and early 2000s, she was a back-up singer for Madonna.
She grew up in Michigan and began her singing career after attending college in California.
She released a number of jazz albums, including Niki Haris and Friends.
Her father, Gene Haris, was a prominent jazz musician. Her relationship with Jay King resulted in a daughter named Jordan.
She appeared in the 1995 Al Pacino film Heat.
