After appearing in episodes of Misfits, Trollied, and several other British television series, Blood was cast as Lance Hunter on the ABC series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
At the start of his career, he played the role of Alex in the BBC's Material Girl.
In preparation for his starring role in The West End in Backbeat, he trained as a bass guitarist.
He was born and raised in London, England.
He and Russell Tovey acted together in the BBC Three's Him & Her: The Wedding.
