She won the World Girl's Under-12 Championship in 1999.
She is considered to be the second best active female Georgian chess master and she helped the Georgia's Women's Olympiad team win a gold medal in 2008.
She was encouraged by her parents to play chess as a child.
She competes against Alexandra Kosteniuk in international play.
