Singer best known as the frontwoman for the seminal New York metal band Life of Agony. In 2011, she began transitioning from a male to a female after being previously known as Keith Caputo.
She founded Life of Agony in 1989 and released the band's first album in 1993.
Her solo album "A Fondness For Hometown Scars" features Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea on the trumpet.
Her father has been in prison for most of her life.
She and Against Me!'s Laura Jane Grace are both transgender American rock vocalists.
