Television actress best known for her role as Maggie Habib on BBC1's The Thin Blue Line, as well as for her performance as Dr. Sandra Malik on ITV's The Bill. She also appeared on such popular television series as The Invisibles and Coronation Street.
After graduating with a degree in performance from Accrington & Rossendale College (a British vocational school), she went on to study at London's Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.
She played the role of Shazza Karib on the United Kingdom Channel 4 series Shameless.
She grew up in the town of Church, Lancashire, England.
Appearing on a children's science fiction series called The Sarah Jane Adventures, she played the mother of actress Anjli Mohindra's character.
