Mikko Rantanen

Finnish professional ice hockey player known for his work as a forward for the Colorado Avalanche in the NHL. He is also known for having won a gold medal at the World Junior Championships in Finland in 2016 as part of the Finnish national team.
While he made his professional debut with the SM-Liiga club as a 16 year old, he was later selected by the Colorado Avalanche during the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
He was named as part of the All-Star Game team in the AHL as well as the Dudley "Red" Garrett Memorial Award winner in 2016.
He was born and raised in Nousiainen, Finland.
He was awarded the Dudley "Red" Garrett Memorial award alongside fellow player Frank Vatrano.
